Stephen H. Weiner's Manhattan

Mr. Weiner graduated from
Yale College (cum laude) where he was President of the
Yale Debate Association, and from the Columbia University
School of Law where he was an editor of the Columbia
Law Review. After he received his initial training in
commercial litigation at the Wall Street law firm of
Cahill Gordon & Reindel and at the firm of Schulte
Roth & Zabel, Mr. Weiner started his own law practice
in 1994.

Since then this firm has successfully
handled trials and appeals in the area of commercial litigation
and contracts litigation on behalf of corporations and individuals
in state and federal courts. This firm has also handled landlord-tenant
litigation, police misconduct litigation, surrogate's court
litigation, commercial leases and transactions for not-for-profit
organizations, and executive severance agreements. Some of
Mr. Weiner's notable matters include:

Successfully defending three
corporations against a $2 million claim by the New York
City Economic Development Corporation, including obtaining
a defense verdict at trial, and winning an appeal in the
Appellate Division, Second Department

Obtaining six-figure executive
severance agreements for professionals

In residential landlord-tenant
matters, successfully representing landlords and successfully
representing tenants.
Mr. Weiner is a former Chair of
the Committee on Science and the Law of the Association of
the Bar of the City of New York. He was a member of the Board
of Arbitrators of the National Association of Securities Dealers
(NASD) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). He has been
appointed by Courts to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Surrogate's
Court and Housing Court, and as a Court Examiner to monitor
accounts maintained by Guardians of Incapacitated Persons.
Mr. Weiner served as a Commissioner of the New York City Board
of Elections for two four-year terms.
